St. John's Episcopal Church

We at St. John’s are committed to life long Christian Education to assist us in our growth in the love of God and our participation in the Lord’s redeeming work. For this reason, we offer a full hour of learning opportunities for all ages at 10:00 AM each Sunday. Other Christian learning opportunities occur during the week or periodically.

Children’s Ministry: This group of committed parishioners is devoted to enhancing programs and events for the spiritual growth of our children.

Church School: We are very excited to offer the “Godly Play” educational curriculum for our children from preschool through sixth grade. This program is Bible based and is intended to assist our children to enter into the scriptural stories and parables through creative story telling. Our teachers have been specially trained to guide our children into an exploration of grace and faith. Our Jr. High program on Sunday mornings is a solid exploration of the call of Christian discipleship in their daily lives, using the Journey to Adulthood Curriculum.

Adult Forum: Christian Education is a life long process. Adults are invited to grow in their understanding of the Good News of Christ by participating in one of our Adult Forums. Topics vary from Bible Study to spiritual growth to the basic teachings of the Christian faith. Meet in our Parish Hall, St. David’s, on Sunday mornings at 9 AM.

Bible Studies: Each Wednesday, immediately following the 10 AM service, the Rector conducts a Bible study on various biblical books and subjects. Women’s Bible Study is on Tuesdays, two times per month in the morning. A Women’s book study meets each Thursday at 3 PM. Men’s Bible Study meets on Fridays at 6:15 AM. Contact the office for details.
